We were back up at the P&J live in Aberdeen recently. Couple of stand builds to do and just realised it is so good to be back working on stand design and build again. Last September was the start of a year and a half of anxiety but we weathered the storm and managed to get through it quite well and now we are cooking with the proverbial gas! ASIT Exhibition Stands We live chatting about all things exhibition stands, so get in touch and have a chat with me.

Edinburgh Gin @ The Ideal Home Show

Edinburgh Gin @ The Ideal Home Show Another new customer on board and this was the first little stand we've produced for Ian Macleod Distillers with their Edinburgh Gin Brand. Pretty simple 4m wide backwall with tension fabric graphics, counters with storage for all their sampling stock and the usual services required to deliver the stand. We re-used their shelving display unit and gave it a makeover. All good, client delighted and onto the next event, Food and Drink Expo in Birmingham.

Digital Screens on your Exhibition Stand

By |2021-10-03T20:34:00+01:00October 3rd, 2021|Categories: David's Blog, Exhibitions|Tags: , |0 Comments

Screens are the future and the future is now. Having a mix of static graphics and moving content is becoming more relevant for today's exhibitors. There are stands which are almost completely made up with digital content, they are mega, both in look and expense. For some exhibitors it's a must, but at what stage do you seriously start thinking about taking bigger screens or more screens? A lot is to do with the content. If you've got a product that needs to be seen to be understood then having screens is a must if you can't bring that product to the [...]

Top 5 3m x 3m shell scheme designs

By |2021-10-03T20:23:02+01:00October 3rd, 2021|Categories: David's Blog, Exhibitions, Uncategorized|Tags: , , , |0 Comments

There are many ways to dress a 3m x 3m shell scheme, here we take you through the top 5 ways to do just that. 1 - Popups. The good old popup has been around for years. Put a 3x3 straight into the backwall and you'll just fit it in with 150mm to spare either side. These kits are quite heavy at 25kg but they come in a large wheeled case which can be used as a branded table. 2 - Fabric displays are much lighter than popups and have become really popular. One large printed fabric sock is pulled over a [...]

Shell Schemes are Changing

By |2021-10-02T19:21:02+01:00October 2nd, 2021|Categories: David's Blog, Exhibitions, Industry News|Tags: , , |0 Comments

I built my first exhibition stand over 20 years ago. It was a system called Deltamatrix. Fixed frame system that went together extremely quickly and we made some pretty cool acrylic graphics which fit neatly into the system. Well over time that company split up and became 2. Aluvision and beMatrix. I don't know the story behind it but they both had a very similar system which was way quicker to put up than the other modular systems like Octanorm shell. More recently they both developed a channel which accepts fabric. These graphics meant there were no joins over panels. I always [...]

Space Only or Shell Scheme?

By |2021-09-30T23:29:52+01:00September 30th, 2021|Categories: David's Blog, Exhibitions|Tags: |0 Comments

Should I upgrade to a space only exhibition stand? I get asked this question quite a lot. Many exhibitors start out by taking the easy option which is a shell scheme. You get your walls, a carpet, a socket and some lights. You turn up with your portable display and off you go. But............ Does that make the impact that you want? Does it grab the attention you need? You could upgrade to space only. There is more to do but you open up the space and importantly you gain height. Upto 4m. It allows for higher level branding without going to [...]

Exhibitions are back

By |2021-09-30T14:13:40+01:00September 30th, 2021|Categories: David's Blog|Tags: , |0 Comments

Well it's been a long time coming but EXHIBITIONS ARE BACK! Hallelujah! Nobody could have imagined when the government locked us all down in March 2020 that everything would change so much. However, change it has and life won't be the same again. Our love of exhibiting has remained and through the tough times we tried to stay as positive as we could. It's tough staying positive when there's nothing but bad news and negativity. I wonder how you all coped? So we've now been allowed to open back up and start our business proper again. We're back into the factory and [...]

Window Graphics

I had a walk around Livingston Designer Outlet and the Centre on Sunday past. Actually quite enjoyed the experience as it was quiet, easy to park and easy to get in and out of shops and with lockdown I hadn't had to endure the shops for a few months. Well, while I was walking around with my family trying to keep my 2 monkeys entertained while the better half browsed it was interesting to take note of what the retailers were doing to draw in customers. So you've got The Body Shop using hanging posters in their [...]
