Retail Signage

Strategic directional and promotional signage that guides shoppers through the store, from the entrance to the till point.

Signage that does more than decorate

Good retail signage has a job: get a shopper from the entrance to the right department, flag an offer at the point they're deciding, and confirm they're in the right queue. It works best planned as a route through the store rather than a set of standalone signs.

Redblu's signage range covers floor-level wayfinding through to overhead hanging signage that's visible from across the shop floor.

What you'll need

Planning a signage route

  • Start from the entrance, not the till. Map the route a first-time visitor takes and place signage at each decision point along it, rather than clustering it near the till.
  • Use height for anything meant to be seen from a distance. Hanging and suspended signage reads across a store floor; floor and wall signs only work at close range.
  • Keep pricing signage separate from wayfinding. Pricing and offers change far more often than department signage — keeping them on separate, cheaper-to-reprint pieces avoids reprinting the whole route each time a price changes.

Retail signage FAQs

Can signage be updated without replacing the whole stand?

Yes — floor, wall and hanging signage in this range use a reprintable graphic panel or fabric skin, so the hardware is a one-off cost and only the print needs updating.

Do you offer signage for outdoor use as well as in-store?

Flag banners are built for continuous outdoor use and extend a signage route to the car park or street approach; talk to us if you need a specific outdoor sign spec beyond what's shown here.
